Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data The Growth Lever collects, why, who it's shared with and the rights you have under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Who I am

The Growth Lever Limited ("The Growth Lever", "I", "me") is the controller of your personal data. Registered in England and Wales, company number 17480866, registered office Flat 3, 45 Percy Park, Tynemouth, NE30 4JX.

Contact for anything in this notice: tom@thegrowthlever.co.uk.

What I collect and why

Enquiry form

When you send an enquiry I collect your name, email address, brand and website, revenue and ad spend ranges, and anything you write in your message. I use this to reply and to discuss working together. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and my legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

Call bookings

When you book a call through Calendly, Calendly collects your name, email address, the time you choose and any answers you give on the booking form, and shares them with me so the call can happen. The lawful basis is the same as for the enquiry form.

Emails

If you email me, I keep the correspondence so I can reply and keep a record of our discussions.

Analytics and advertising cookies

Only if you accept cookies, the site loads Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. These record how you use the site (pages viewed, the device and browser you use, roughly where you are) and whether you send an enquiry or book a call, so I can see which pages and ads are working. The lawful basis is your consent. See Cookies below.

Audit account access

For an audit, you grant me view-only (read-only) access to your Meta ad account, Google Analytics and Shopify. These accounts can contain personal data about your customers. I act as your processor for that data and only view it to carry out the audit you've asked for.

  • I only use that access to carry out the audit.
  • I don't download or export your customers' personal data.
  • Removing my access once the audit is finished is your responsibility as the account owner. You can remove it at any time.

Who your data is shared with

I don't sell your data. I use these service providers (processors) to run the business, each under their own data protection terms:

  • Formspree receives enquiry form submissions and emails them to me.
  • Calendly handles call bookings.
  • Google Workspace hosts my email.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website and protects it from attacks. It processes technical data such as IP addresses.
  • Google (Analytics) and Meta (Pixel), only if you accept cookies.

Some of these providers are based in, or transfer data to, the United States. Where that happens, transfers rely on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries and emails that don't lead to work: 12 months, then deleted.
  • Client records: 6 years, to meet tax and legal record-keeping requirements.
  • Analytics data: kept by Google for 14 months.
  • Audit access: removed as described above.

Cookies

The site only sets analytics and advertising cookies if you click Accept on the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.

  • Your cookie choice: stored in your browser (local storage, key tgl-consent) so the banner doesn't keep appearing. Strictly necessary.
  • Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_* cookies, which last up to 2 years. Only with consent.
  • Meta Pixel: the _fbp cookie, which lasts up to 3 months. Only with consent.
  • Calendly: the booking calendar on the Contact page is provided by Calendly, which may set its own cookies needed for booking to work. See Calendly's cookie notice.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data deleted
  • restrict or object to how I use your data
  • receive your data in a portable format
  • withdraw consent at any time, for example for cookies, without affecting anything done before

To use any of these rights, email tom@thegrowthlever.co.uk. I'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I'd appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact me before going to the ICO.

Changes to this notice

If I change how I use personal data, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
